I think the original name was guangdong commercial college which was the full name of GDCC...and now it is named Guangdong University of Business Studies...

well, "university"  sounds higher in class than "college"
but business college can also be excellent, like Harvard Business College

and our mother school is sitll called "学院" in chinese, how can it  be called university in english?
